Vancouver Fashion Week Day 2

The second day of Vancouver Fashion Week was so much more upbeat and had a really great vibe about it.  The venue was quite packed and we were lucky to get some great seats even though we missed the first couple of hours. Today, we caught 5 shows: Elick and Afsi, Ginger Martini, Queenie, Qube, and KAS Wear.

I decided to wear my current favourite skirt and a green button-up top. I love the color of this blouse and haven't had any photos with it yet, so I thought today would be the perfect opportunity.

Elick and Afsi was quite a cute collection. It reminded me of children's clothes for adults. There were a lot of coloured patches on the back pockets of pants and floral details that remind me of my childhood. The models all wore flat shoes, which added to the carefree vibe  -- and I'm sure it was a welcome rest for their feet :)

Ginger Martini was like a candy shop on a runway. All of the dresses reminded me of candy and some of the models even walked out with cupcakes which they handed to people in the front row. All of the tulle and the cutesy looks reminded me a bit of Betsey Johnson.

Queenie had some really pretty and wearable dresses. I was more drawn to the first half of the show, so my pictures are from this.

Qube was a gorgeous collection. I really loved these pieces and felt like these are the sort of items that I can see myself wearing next spring. I love all cutouts and bare midriff, along with the soft colors and lace. The combination is very feminine and pretty, but with a touch of sexy.

KAS Wear was the crowd favourite and put on an amazing show. The African music set the tone perfectly for this Ugandan collection. He had some men's pieces along with the women's and it was a great mix -- I actually think that some of the men's jackets were my favourite pieces. I loved all of the printed bottoms (especially the mini-skirts) along with the neutral structured tops. It was quite extreme, but completely wearable at the same time.

I was wearing:

Urban Outfitters Top
Bluejuice skirt and Necklace
H&M Clutch and Belt & Bracelet
Zara Booties
True Worth and Givenchy Bracelets

Thanks so much for visiting!
