Bike Ride on a Sunday

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Ollie and I went for a bike ride to Granville Island yesterday and it was such an amazing day for it. It was almost too sunny to take photos, but that's just silly because the view is so gorgeous along the trail. How could we not take some pictures?

For the ride, I wore my flower skull top from H&M and my cutoffs from XO Bella. It was so warm, it would have been too uncomfortable to wear anything more than that. I really love the floral skull on the top -- isn't it the cutest thing?

Fireworks at the Park

I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend! The fireworks were on last night, so we had a nice relaxing evening. We had some dinner and a glass of wine and then headed down to the water just before they began. It gets so busy in Kits during the fireworks, so it's so nice that we live so close.

We were dressed super casual for the evening at the beach, so I was wearing my boyfriend jeans and a loose white top. These sandals I bought yesterday from H&M and they were on sale for only $3! How amazing is that? They're super comfy too, so they were definitely a good find :)

Florals at the Park

I hope everyone has had an amazing Thursday! It was so gorgeous in Vancouver that we were able to stay at the beach in kits until around 9pm this evening -- which is so nice after getting home from work at 6pm. We really feel like we get so much more out of our day when we can have an evening like this. It was still really busy at the beach and they even had dance classes down there. It looked like the cutest thing ever :)

I wasn't expecting to take photos but it was so nice, we thought we should take advantage. I was wearing my super comfy floral shorts from Urban Outfitters and my flat sandals from Zara. Perfect for laying in the park.

So Innocent

I think I'm becoming a little bit obsessed with white dresses. They are so easy and a great casual way to wear a dress. I also think there's something slightly innocent about wearing a white dress and I can always tell that Ollie really likes them :)

This one is from Zara and I usually wear it with flats for more of a casual look, but love the way that it looks with heels for the photos. I feel like a little girl in it and I love the crochet overlay -- especially the details on the sleeves.

Neon and White

I hope everyone has had an amazing weekend! Ours was pretty low-key -- we went out for Mexican food and watched a movie last night. It was nice after going to the wedding mid-week -- we needed the weekend to relax!

Because it's a little chilly today, I decided to wear a sweater to keep warm, but in a bright color so that it stills feels like summer. I love the color of this sweater and it always manages to put me in a good mood. It's a little loose, so I like to wear it with something that shows the legs or skinny jeans to balance it out and not get overwhelmed in it. This skirt is another item that has been in my closet for about 10 years. I had to look at the tag to see what brand it was and I've never actually heard of Elroy 7, but I'm pretty sure that I bought it in Australia, so maybe you've heard of it there? Well, it's held up really well and I wear it every summer, so I definitely recommend it!

Orange Lace

Last night, Ollie and I went to such a gorgeous wedding. The couple is very good friends of Ollie's and it was such a fairytale. The location of the reception was at Brock House in Jericho Beach, which is right on the water and is so ideal on a beautiful evening like yesterday.

For the wedding, I wore this bright orange dress, which was a gift from my wonderful mom! She always has the best taste :) I love the bright color and I felt the cut was perfect for the church ceremony. I hope you like it!

Florals and Knits

I hope everyone is having an amazing Thursday! Ollie and I have the day off for a friend's wedding so we had a nice sleep in. It's always such a treat to have a sleep in during the week -- I almost feel guilty! It's the perfect day for a wedding, with clear blue skies and it's supposed to stay this way, so we're very lucky. I'll show some photos of what I wear tomorrow :)

These photos are from last night, before going out for a couple of drinks with Tarryl. It was such a nice surprise that she was in town! It's been far too long since we've had one of our girl nights and it's even better when they're on a patio on a gorgeous summer evening.

I decided to wear this old skirt that has been sitting in my closet for about 10 years. It was a midi length before with an uneven hem, but I felt like the length was a little awkward so I cut it into a mini skirt and really like the result! It's always nice when you can make an easy alteration to an old item and start to wear it again.

Crochet Top

I've been wanting a crochet top for quite a while and I finally found this one on sale at Zara. It was mislabelled too, so I got an even better discount! I love when that happens. The cut of this top allows it to still look sweet even though it is quite transparent from all of the cut-outs. I think this top also looks really cute with a black bandeau underneath, but yesterday I wanted more of a summery look.

Summer Uniform

I hope everyone is having an amazing start to their weekend ! I spent a super relaxing day at the beach and am now about to cook some dinner and enjoy the place to myself tonight (while Ollie's out at a bachelor party). I think I'm going to watch some girly movies and eat lots of ice cream :)

This outfit is pretty typical for me. Stripes (of course!), loose top and a short, high-waist skirt. I really love this combo because you can look really relaxed and casual due to the fit, but the length of the skirt still makes it a little sexy without being over the top. The bag gives a pop of color to the neutral outfit and I love any excuse to throw neon into my look!

Summer Nights

Another gorgeous summer evening -- I think we're getting a little too spoiled now! Ollie and I decided to escape the house and my dread of Blogger to go for a walk around some parts of our neighborhood that we never seem to venture to. There are a bunch of old abandoned railroad tracks that have been turned into community gardens and it really is so pretty. We took these photos at one of the points that is completely grown over, where we could get the last little bit of sunlight before it went down.

P.S. You may have noticed that quite a few of my posts don't have photos on them right now. Let's just say that Blogger and I aren't getting along at the moment. I'm re-adding the photos to all of the posts -- it just takes some time. I hope you don't mind -- they'll be back up asap!

Black and White

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day. We spent the whole thing working on our tans at the beach (I know you can't tell, but this is me with a tan!!) and then went for sushi and a movie afterwards. The movie was terrible, but it couldn't ruin such a beautiful day :)

These photos were taken at 7pm and it was still so hot out. I love real summer evenings. Such a treat!

Floral Mini

Last night was one of those perfect summer evenings. After a late afternoon of lounging at the beach, Ollie and I went for a nice casual dinner at Brown's in Kits. I love those evenings that you can wear a sleeveless top and skirt and be completely comfortable. These evening are rare in Vancouver, so you have to take full advantage when you can :)

Now, it is another gorgeous day and I actually have the day off! As soon as I post this, we're heading down to the beach for a wonderful lazy day. And maybe I will actually get some color on these white legs of mine!

Summer Floral

I'm so happy that I can finally wear summer clothes and not be freezing cold the entire time! Today, I wore this floral skirt to work because it was so gorgeous out and it really suited my mood. The girls were teasing and saying that I looked like a bit of a princess because the skirt flowed behind me as I walked, but I can't see a fault in that! A princess with a flowing skirt -- I'll take it :)

Wedding Fun

While we were in Kelowna, we went to a wedding of a good friend that I grew up with. It was the first wedding that I've been to this season and it's going to be a very hard one to beat. The wedding was held in a resort that was quite secluded, so everyone stayed for 3 nights and made a long weekend of it. It was such a great idea and turned out so perfectly. The best part was definitely seeing all of my girlfriends that I don't get to see very often. It always makes me miss them that much more!

These photos were taken at the wedding, during the ceremony and the reception. You might notice that it was raining during the ceremony, but then it cleared up just as it was finishing and a gorgeous rainbow came out! Very suiting for this particular wedding :)

A Walk in the Woods

On our second day in Kelowna, we decided to take a little walk through a trail that we found behind our cabin. It was so nice that the resort was completely surrounded by forest, but later on that day we started seeing signs telling us to beware of bears, so maybe not the very best idea without being prepared. But, nevertheless, it was gorgeous and I'm glad we got some pictures of it :)

I was wearing super comfy clothes and my bikini underneath because we spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool before heading to the brides' for a bbq (from this post). The absolute perfect day!
