Australian Wildlife

On our fourth day in Australia, we decided to take a drive to a national park and then stop by a cute little wildlife park as well. The drive along the coast was amazing and I always love seeing animals!

I wore my new sneaker wedges and they are so unbelievably comfortable. You can't tell that they have a wedge at all. I changed into jeans half way through the day because the wind picked up and it is winter after-all :)

Tourist Day

On our third day in Sydney, we decided to do the major tourist destinations. We went for a ferry ride to Watsons Bay and then went for a walk around the harbor to check out the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House. I love being a tourist and this day didn't disappoint. So many gorgeous things to see and we're trying to squeeze them all into our short time here. I hope you like the photos!

Meet the Parents

Ollie and I are in Australia!! We arrived yesterday morning to surprise Ollie's dad for his birthday. It's winter here but it's so gorgeous out, it's the exact same weather as a Canadian summer.

I had my official "Meet the Parents" experience yesterday. It was my first time meeting the fam and, of course, my bags did not show up in Sydney with me. So, I  spent the day wearing Ollie's clothes. Luckily, his family is much nicer than on the movie and later in the day it cooled down enough for me to put my warmer clothes from the plane back on.

These pics were taken during our walk around Ollie's family home and Kurnell. Not exactly my most fashionable looks, but I just wanted to give a quick update and it's such a gorgeous place!

BF Jeans

Happy Hump Day! This week is a short week for me so tomorrow is my Friday. I love weeks like this. And we've had some great visitors this week so that makes it even better! First Tarryl came for a surprise visit (more of these please!!) and then my family came over tonight and we went for a nice dinner and a catch-up. I've got a week off work so I've been really antsy for this week to end -- and thanks to the amazing visits, it's going by super quick :)

For dinner tonight, I just wanted to be super comfy and the place was quite casual so I wore my Zara boyfriend jeans -- which I've really been wearing non-stop so I probably would have worn them if it was a fancy place as well... But the weather was a bit cooler today and I really love them, so I think they were the perfect choice.

I hope you like my super casual and relaxed look! xoxo

Floral Skater Dress

I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend! Today is my only day off this week and all of a sudden the weather has turned to crap! I was planning on a relaxing day at the beach, but I think we need to re-evaluate this.

We went to a couple of dinner parties this weekend and this is the dress that I wore on Friday. It was such a gorgeous evening and we were having the party on the rooftop. So beautiful there. I posted a couple of photos to Instagram if you want to check them out :)

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!! xoxo

Floral Peplum

I never really jumped on the peplum trend (I just couldn't find anything that looked quite right on me), but I really love this floral version. It's not the traditional peplum because it's much looser, but it still has the ruffle at the bottom, so I think it counts :)

We took these photos at a quiet spot on Kits Beach and we both couldn't believe that we had never found it before. It's so perfect and no one really seems to go there. I love amazing discoveries like this!

Relaxing at the Lake -- Day 2

The second day at the lake was maybe even more relaxing than the first. We really didn't want to leave and hope that we can make it there at least one more time before the summer is over. It is so nice to escape the city and be so secluded from civilization. Neither of us thought about work the whole time that we were there and that is a huge change for us! A very welcomed one :)

In these photos, I'm wearing a pretty typical "cabin" outfit. Cutoffs, loose tank and bikini. No need for anything too fancy here because absolutely no one will see it (other than Ollie and Tarryl, of course!). Also, no makeup...

I hope you're having an amazing week! xoxo

Relaxing at the Lake

We had such an amazing weekend at my family's lake cabin, we didn't want the weekend to end! It was definitely tough getting up for work today, but it was worth the trip over there. We left after work on Friday, caught the ferry to Vancouver Island and arrived quite late at the cabin. It can be a little creepy at night because there isn't any electricity, but because of this we were able to see the meteor showers so clearly.

These photos are from the ferry ride over, the drive in the dark, the stars at night, and some from the first morning. Tarryl came over with her adorable dog, Sophie, and of course I had to put a shot in of her as well :)

Sheer Black

This week has gone so fast and I love it! Ollie and I are escaping the city this weekend and I'm really looking forward to some serious relaxation.

Last night, the gorgeous Lily was in town and we went for a nice dinner, wine and sweets. It was such a beautiful warm night, so I kept on my cutoffs and threw on a sheer long-sleeved blouse to keep the evening chill off. These Zara heels really go with absolutely everything, so I dressed up the otherwise casual outfit with them. I love comfortable outfits that can easily be dressed up with heels. Always the easiest way to go from day to night in the summer.

I hope you have an amazing weekend!! xoxo

The Perfect Sunday

I love long weekends. Ollie and I were trying to make plans for a few weeks, but just ended up staying home and it has turned into the perfect weekend! Yesterday, we spent a few hours relaxing at the beach, then went for a bike ride along the seawall and had a gorgeous dinner in False Creek. I love days like that. The scenery is so gorgeous along the water, so we had to make multiple stops to take photos (of course!).

For the bike ride, I needed to wear shorts but I knew we were going to a nice place for dinner so I didn't want to be too casual. I feel like these shorts are just dressy enough because of the embroidered material and the top is still cool enough for the ride, but so pretty because of all of the cutouts. I hope you like it!

Tie Dye Maxi

It's such a gorgeous summer evening, I decided to wear my favorite summer dress! I found this dress at Saks  Fifth Avenue Off Fifth in Scottsdale and I think it's one of my best finds ever. I love the flattering cut and the purple and white tie dye is so pretty. Plus, I don't even need to wear a bra with it because of the halter neck! You really can't get much better than that on a warm summer night :)

I hope you're having an amazing Saturday! We're heading to another night of fireworks right now. xoxo

Black Bodycon

I hope everyone is having an amazing week! I really can't wait for it to be the weekend. We have a long weekend in Canada (do you have one in other parts of the world?) and I really just want to relax and soak in the sun. Doesn't it sometimes feel like the week before the long weekend is always the hardest to get through?

I just realized that I've worn bodycon items two days in a row. I hope you don't mind! I don't want to get too scanky over here, but I guess I'm in that sort of mood. Just a warning -- If you're going to wear a bodycon dress for photos, don't eat Mexican food right before! Lesson learned :)

I hope you have a good night! xoxo

Polka Dots

I can't believe it's already the first day of August today! The summer is going by far too fast. I don't want it to end! But I can't think like that -- we still have the whole month of August, so I have to learn to live in the moment a little more :)

This is the outfit that I wore to the movies with Ollie on Sunday. We went to see The Dark Knight Rises and it was amazing! I've had this skirt for a few years and have never really worn it all that much. I always thought it was too unflattering after seeing a couple of terrible photos of me wearing it, but now I have a new-found love for it! Especially with this boyfriend shirt -- I think it balances it out quite well.

I hope you had a wonderful 1st of August! Now we're heading to the fireworks at Kits Beach. xoxo
