Rainy Day Comfort

I hope you've had an amazing weekend! Mine went far too fast and I feel like I didn't get nearly as much relax time as I would have liked. But who am I to complain?
The weather was awesome, I had an amazing date night and got to meet up with a few friends that I haven't seen in a while. If I could get just one more sleep-in, life would be perfect :)

Ollie and I took these photos on Friday when I went to meet up with him for lunch. That day was absolutely miserable with non-stop pouring rain, so we found an undercover area to sneak in a couple of photos. I was running around all day, from a fitting, to the shops and then meetings -- it was a full day but a productive one so I wanted to be super comfortable. Also, I never feel like dressing up when it is pouring rain, so slouchy jeans, a loose striped tee, military jacket and comfortable booties were what got me through it. I don't know what it is about the rain, but it takes away all desire to wear anything that isn't super cozy and comfortable. Luckily, it has since cleared up so I have got my inspiration back once again!
I just rediscovered this military jacket in my closet last week and am so excited! I love this style and completely forgot that I had it. Hopefully I'll get some good wear out of it before it gets too cold!
These Jeans have the perfect amount of slouch to them and they are my go-tos when I just want to be relaxed and comfortable. They are meant to be skinny jeans, but the ultra soft denim made them perfect in a couple sized up as a slim bf style.
These boots may not have been the best choice for a day of running around in the pouring rain, but I don't think I ruined them so all's good. I think I just might have to pull out the Hunters soon!

I was wearing:

Urban Outfitters Coat & Shirt
Rish & Skinny Jeans

Thanks so much for visiting!

  3. The rain certainly makes shooting outfit photos more challenging, doesn't it, dear Alison?? My husband and I have a few go-to "under cover" spots that we choose from...then it's just up to me to avoid the puddles when I'm wearing MY suede boots!! ;)
