Every year, I completely forget about shopping for my New Year's Eve dress until after Christmas and this, of course, means that I am super limited in my options. This year, I'm planning my look ahead of time so that I find my perfect one. I'm not sure if I'm going sparkly this year or not, so I've chosen a variety of different looks that aren't necessarily your typical NYE look, but will definitely get you noticed. If you're going for sequins, I love the idea of wearing them in a loose, long-sleeved dress rather than the obvious bodycon choice. Or, go for an unexpected red lacy number that I guarantee no one else will have. I also love the idea of crushed velvet and a low neckline that screams opulence but steers completely clear of trashy. I think my very favorite look of all is the hint of mid-drift in either a metallic, lace, or solid black material. I'm leaning towards the solid black for an elegant, yet fun look. Now I just need some plans!
What about you? Which look do you like the best?
Great dress picks, Alison! I especially love #4. =)

I hope you are having a great weekend!

That black, two-piece maxi dress is incredibly elegant, dear Alison...maybe too much so for the average New Year's Eve party. But the sparkly, champagne-coloured tank dress next to it?? I'd wear it with black opaque tights and spike-heeled booties...2015, here I come!! ;)
