Life Lately

TGIF! Can you believe it's already the last Friday of the month? There are so many things I need to do before the month is over and I feel like I'm running out of time.
This month has been pretty amazing so far. I've been kept super busy with so many different collaborations and fun projects that I never would have imagined I could ever be a part of. It has given me such a renewed love for this blog and I'm really loving the feeling of being busy. That's something I never would have said in the past -- that I enjoy being busy. I've always been a person that likes my free time and have never been shy of a lazy day, but I feel like that has changed so much lately. I think it truly comes from loving what I do so that I am energized to spend my spare moments working on this little baby. And when I do have free time, I've been loving the little adventures that Ollie and I have been going on. It is so insane how many beautiful spots there are right in our city. Even last night, we went down to the beach just as the sun was setting and caught the most magical moment. It was so incredibly beautiful after so much oppressive rain (especially since I know it's going to start back up today). Taking the moment to really take in and appreciate every single moment is something that I have been trying to work on lately and I feel like it is now starting to take hold. Sometimes, practice makes perfect and I think even something like being in the moment takes practice as well. As we were down at the beach taking photos of the sunset, Ollie stopped and reminded me to pause and take it in before it was gone. Sometimes, when you are seeing everything as a photo, you forget to really see what is happening around you, which makes it so much more important to take a moment and pause. Luckily I have someone to remind me of this, and that is something that I appreciate even more. And this, I don't need a reminder of :)

I hope you have an amazing Friday and your weekend is full of adventures. xoxo

  8. Living "in the moment" is something I do very well, dearest Alison...so much so, that I always forget that my iPhone (which I've only had for a year) is actually a camera, as well!! I NEVER remember to take photos when I'm out and about...I'm having too much fun enjoying my day!! So happy to hear that you've got lots of exciting projects in the works; as you said, being busy is no problem when you're lucky enough to love what you do!! XOXO

    1. I envy you Monika! I so wish that living in the moment came so naturally to me. But now that I'm getting the hang of it, there's no other way I would want to do it.
