Finally Ready

Hi guys! I hope you're having an amazing week! I've been finding it pretty hard to get back into the swing of things and had a bit of a stress attack yesterday, but luckily I feel back to myself now and am finally ready to take on the new year.
I'm only 6 days late on my fresh start, but it's always better late than never, right? I think I was feeling pressured to have all these new goals and visions for where the blog will go in 2016 -- but sometimes I need to take it all in and enjoy what is happening right now at this very moment. I've never been good with pressure and have always felt that it takes the fun out of everything. My favorite part about this blog is that I actually find it super fun -- so I think I'm going to build on that! I feel like 2016 is going to be my creative year -- where I will try out new ideas and play around with video and YouTube a little more, while improving on the visual quality of our images here. Like I mentioned in my last post, Ollie and I have something in the works for the last quarter of the year, so I feel like I have some time to really explore what I want this space to be. And I don't mean that I want to change anything -- I just want to play around as much as I can!

It's funny talking about wanting to have fun with this blog because when we shot these photos it was anything but! Ollie and I are very lucky to live in the Kits beach area and have been shooting photos here ever since I started my blog 3 and a half years ago, but something about this particular day was soooo uncomfortable. I'm hoping that you can't tell in these shots, but there were so many people that wanted to just stop and gawk at what we were doing. You may notice if you've been following me for a while that this is actually our "regular" spot and we've never had any issues in the past, but people just thought we were super crazy on this day for some reason. It might be because it was the holidays and it brought different people outdoors that wouldn't usually venture out, but man was it awkward. If you're a blogger, I know that you will completely understand me here -- having people walk by and give you a funny look is one thing, but having groups of people stop to watch and take photos is completely different. So uncomfortable. And so, we didn't get too many shots that I loved, but I did want to show you this super fun new vest that I picked up on boxing day! The inside is so fuzzy and soft and it's so perfect to add as an extra layer on these freezing cold days. I would usually wear a coat over-top of this when I'm outside but I wanted to give you a good look at it for the photos. Maybe this is why people thought I was crazy -- they were wondering where my coat was!

I was wearing:

Love Tree Vest
H&M Turtleneck
Levi's Jeans
Vince Camuto Boots
Jack French London Bag

Thanks so much for visiting!
