Although my hair clearly doesn't seem to agree -- I'm finally getting used to the humidity!I feel like it's a great hurdle to overcome in my fear of venturing out during the day. Most days, we haven't really been doing too much other than working away on our little projects and going to the gym, bike rides (in Ollie's case) and plenty of pool time. But maybe that can change now that I don't feel the need to run to the nearest air conditioning as quickly as I can. It would certainly be nice.
I was finding that I really had no motivation for anything the last couple of weeks, but today felt like a real turing point for me. I'm working on a project that I'm really passionate about and it's got my head buzzing with ideas. Exactly what I was hoping for during this time in Chiang Mai I'm feeling pretty excited.
I think the major key in dealing with the humidity is to just wear as little clothing as you can. The feeling of material against your skin is pretty much the worst thing ever, so light flowy fabrics are the ultimate, but this skirt is pretty good too because, you know -- not much surface area ;)
We shot these photos as we were headed out to grab dinner at my favorite place -- Maya Mall! I was laughing because I never would have expected myself to say that I get excited for mall foodcourt food, but the vegan place there is just so damn good! And so much food for like $1.75 CAD. The girl there knows that we come everyday now so she warned us that she would be closed tomorrow for a wedding so I guess we'll have to try somewhere else, lol. I'm already craving it because I know I can't have it!
