You guys, I've finally found paradise in Chaing Mai. It took until just a few days before we leave, but I'm so happy to find such a beautiful side to the city. There were no cars, no tourists -- barely any locals for that matter -- and nothing but the sound of birds surrounding us. I now see why everyone rents scooters while they're here. It's so that you can get OUT of the city. If we come back, I'm convincing Ollie we need one for sure. Having the freedom to go out into nature would add so much happiness to my life.
The reason for my venture out to the lake was a photoshoot with Tropic Bliss Apparel. I met the owner, Amanda, a few days ago and we decided we needed to do a shoot together before I left the city. And her being the amazing business woman she is, put the entire thing together (including fitting the clothes to my body) in only 3 days.
There were 3 of us in the shoot -- Vaitea, Amanda and myslef -- and everyone's energy was so amazing. I felt like such a goof at times, but the photographer, Warrrick, was so good at what he does that he made me look like a million bucks. Sometimes it feels so awkward to shoot with anyone other than Ollie, but when it's with a true professional, they make you feel at ease. All in all, it was an awesome day and I'm so happy to have been a part of it.
The clothes are pretty much resort wear heaven. I haven't even dreamt about wearing long pants since arriving in Thailand, but since getting these ones, I've been wearing them non-stop. They are light as a feather, but still cover you up. Something that is very hard to find but so necessary for a tropical climate. Sometimes teeny tiny shorts just aren't sppropriate! Make sure you check out their site. Their prices are crazy affordable so its perfect to stock up on before your tropical getaway.
I hope you like the photos!
