It feels so strange that Christmas is over and it's almost the New Year already.I would usually have been rushing back to Vancouver for work after having 2 days off for Christmas on the island but this year we don't have anywhere to be and it is truly the most wonderful feeling. If you've ever wondered whether to take the week off between Christmas and New Years, I am telling you it's so worth it; the holiday rush is over and you can just lay back and relax for a few days before doing it all again for New Year's Eve. This year, since we're in Australia, we've been hitting the beach, having time with Ollie's family and catching up on Netflix. It's getting nice and warm here now so it's been great to work from our computers with all the doors and windows open to let the breeze flow through the house while listening to the sounds of the birds outside.
Since it's warming up, I've been able to pull out my warm weather clothes again. There were a few days of cooler weather where I ended up bringing out the jackets, but now I'm back to light flowy pieces that are comfortable in the heat. This new wrap skirt is perfect because it is ultra light, but still looks quite chic with its maxi length and wrap detail. I've been tending to veer towards a more bohemian style lately but every once in a while it's nice to pull out something a little more minimal and classy. I still paired it with an easy bodysuit and sandals to keep the travel vibes alive, but you could easily dress a piece like this up with a beautiful sheer black blouse and strappy heels. That will most likely be the way I wear it once I get home but for now, sandals are what I have in the suitcase so sandals are what I'll wear ;)
