I definitely didn't think I would be putting on any workwear during this year away, but the second I saw this dress, I knew I had to have it.Ollie and I headed into the city yesterday to sort out some Thai visas and I really felt like I was off to a day of work. The Thai consulate is in a business district so I felt like I fit right in with the crowds on their way to get lunch or off to a meeting. This would be one of those perfect work to cocktails type of dress -- just throw on a pair of strappy sandals and you're ready for a night out. Like I've mentioned before, I don't have any heels with me on this trip, so I opted for my simple black sandals. I'm wishing more and more that I had decided to bring a pair of heels with me, but they take up so much space in a suitcase and I really wouldn't get too much wear out of them. That being said -- if I see a bargain somewhere, I might just have to get some.
So back to the dress -- this one is almost out of stock on Dezzal, but I believe there are still a couple left. If you hurry, you might just get lucky! Mine is in a UK 12/US 8 (I'm usually a US size 4) but I think I should have sized down to a 10/6. My shoulders are what get me with Asian labels and this dress fits me perfect in that regard, but could go in at the waist. I think I'll just have to get it tailored like an adult ;) The details are the main attraction with this piece and it really is so special. The lace on the front and sides is so pretty and the bodice has a nice stretch for a great form fitting silhouette. The only part that doesn't have a stretch is the waist, so make sure you get that measurement right and you'll be good.
Tomorrow is Australia Day so we're off for a picnic at the river. Make sure to follow me on Instagram Stories and Snapchat (@stylingmylife) to see what we get up to!
