Mollymook

fashion and travel blogger, Alison Hutchinson, at Mollymook Beach in NSW, Australia
We're down to our last couple of days in Australia after spending nearly 2 months here. It's so hard to believe that we've already been here for over 7 weeks! Where did the time go?
With the days getting away from us so quickly, we almost didn't go on the roadtrip we had been intending on doing, but on Saturday, we made a quick decision to book a couple of nights in a motel in Mollymook and take off 2 days later. I'm so happy that we made this decision because I was able to discover one of my favorite little spots in Australia so far. I feel like I keep saying this every time we discover a new place, but there was something about the community in this town and the surrounding ones that really spoke to me. There were tons of unique little cafes with amazing food, quirky atmospheres and vegan options. The people were so friendly and you could really feel a sense of community here. It was nearly perfect except for one thing -- the weather. We had an incredibly hot day on our first one there (42/107 degrees) and then the next 2 were stormy and cold. This area is known for being much colder as it is farther south than Sydney, so you're taking a bit of a risk when heading there. We didn't luck out very much with the weather, but that didn't dampen our spirits. We had the most amazing 3 days here and I'm so happy we decided to be spontaneous and go.
