Happy second day of summer!! These photos were taken last night on the first day of summer, but you really can't tell. They could have just as easily been taken during the beginning of spring or right in the middle of fall, but nope -- first day of summer.
To be fair, it did clear up right as the sun was setting and we were treated to an unbelievably beautiful first sunset of summer. I think it's a sign of good things to come!
Even though it wasn't that great weather-wise, Ollie and I really wanted to take advantage of the longest day of the year and be outside for it. We went for a bike ride over to False Creek to have dinner, then watched the sunset on the way back. Of course, our ride took a lot longer than it would for normal people because we stop to take photos of anything that catches our eye. And with the sunset last night, that means every couple of minutes. These are always my favourite bike rides and we come home with so many amazing shots. I hope you like them -- they start at the beginning of our ride (with our intentional photoshoot) and go through dinner and the amazing sunset.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! xoxo
