Our second day in New York definitely taught us a lesson in comfortable footwear. Ollie and I are both such walkers that we wanted to see everything by foot and I'm so glad that we did.
We were out from the moment we got up until quite late and wow, was that a lot of walking. We spent the morning at the Met and the rest of the day walking around the Upper East Side -- doing a ton of shopping and even more window shopping. This is where I learnt my lesson in New York judgement. Almost every single woman we walked past gave me the look up-and-down (even the housekeeper in Barneys) and it gets a teeny bit daunting. By the end of the day I was feeling a little paranoid, but I think it's just the ladies in this area. Once we got back to the East Village, all judgement was gone and I felt back to normal :)
As the sun was going down, we went for some champagne under the Rockefeller Centre and checked out Times Square after dinner. We actually ended up in Times Square most nights -- and honestly not on purpose -- but I suppose that's why there are sooo many people there. It really it a tourist trap.
