I can't believe how close Christmas is! One week from today is Christmas Eve and I couldn't be more excited. Except for the fact that I'm nowhere near prepared.
That freaks me out a little... I had gotten off to such a good start as well, but now I'm going to be one of those last minute shoppers -- fighting the crowd with the rest of the procrastinators. I tried shopping this last weekend and left wishing that I had gotten my act together and bought everything online like a smart person. But, as much as I'm dreading the shopping (I never thought I would ever in a million years say that!), I am looking so forward to the day itself. Today, I bought a super cute Christmas sweater that I can't wait to show you. It is so much fun!
This look is what I wore to my work Christmas dinner. I know it doesn't look all that festive, but it wasn't that type of party. It was more like a dinner out at a casual restaurant, so this suited the venue just fine. But, then the party continued afterwards and this look did suddenly become inappropriate. It was a super fun night, but I couldn't help wishing that I had dressed up a little more. In the past, I was always the one that was overdressed for most situations, but I seem to have been veering towards more casual looks lately. I think this has maybe taught me a lesson to have fun and dress up like I used to :)

I think this is a great look for a casual staff Christmas dinner...maybe not sparkly, but still very fun and interesting!! You have a lot of texture happening here, with the furry jacket (awesome!) and your tweed skirt; and I love the funky buckled boots!!
