Happy Saturday!! I hope you're having an amazing weekend so far. It is raining cats and dogs here and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.
I hate to let it effect me, but all I want to do is curl up under the a blanket in my pjs and watch movies. But, this weekend has other plans for me and so Ollie and I braved the soggy day and spent most of the afternoon shooting outside under any cover that we could think of. Tomorrow, I will be filming for an upcoming project (can't wait to tell you more about it!) so we had to get all of our photos in today. It's nice to have it done but I hate rushing it like that! My method is usually to re-wear an outfit that I had worn the week before so that is is authentically something that I would actually wear. Or, if it's something new, I will pick out an look that I will then wear at some point in the following week. I seriously can't wait for the summer, when we don't have to cram all shots into a weekend. Luckily, tomorrow is the beginning of daylight savings so we will have more light in no time! My favorite time of year -- the time where we can finally see the light of day :)
I've been loving the belted coat trend lately and find myself wanting to put a belt on absolutely everything. This belt is from an old H&M dress and it's funny how this piece has far outlasted the dress itself. It always seemed to come in handy in situations where I feel a look needs something to tie it together. I think the best part of wearing a belted coat is that you can wear something totally unexpected underneath. A super short pink slip dress can go completely unnoticed beneath the long coat. I always find myself wondering what the rest of an outfit is when a woman is wearing a coat that totally covers whatever is underneath. I think that's the sexiness of it. It can be absolutely anything! Or, nothing at all :)

I love over-knee socks...I think they give any outfit a bit of edge; and your look here is no exception!! And the surprise of the short pink dress under your trench is perfect!!
