I hope you had an amazing long weekend! Ollie and I spent it power-relaxing at my family's cabin with my cousins, some beers, lots of barbecues and nothing else but the lake and the fresh air.
We don't have any electricity or phone reception while we're there so it is the ultimate way to switch off and chill. It usually takes me one full day for my brain to stop its constant chatter about all the things I should be doing (or should have done), but once that second day rolls around, I am in full lovin' life mode. We had two full days of this mode and it has seriously recharged my batteries. Unfortunately, the second I stepped foot into work this morning, that feeling was shattered, but I think that's the trick -- we need to find a way to bring the holiday happiness into our everyday. It can be tough, but I'm sure it must be possible.
One of the best things about being removed from electricity and really any other human beings that would cause light pollution, is the insane show we are treated to from the stars each night. The Milky Way is so clear and you can see shooting stars every few minutes. Ollie always surprises me with his unbelievable talent and I think this photo below is proof of that. Can you believe all those stars? We are lucky to be able to experience such beautiful things in our lives.
