Happy Friday!! I hope you guys have had an amazing week. I feel like this one went super quick for me and that I haven't really gotten much done at all.
I realized this morning how far behind I am on my emails and so I've been trying to sort that out for the last couple of hours. I swear that I am the slowest email writer in the entire wold -- not only am I a bit of a slow typer, but it takes me sooo long to compose even the simplest email. I always worry that I sound too demanding or harsh or silly or uncaring. I find it really hard to get the right balance and always try to imaging how it's going to read on the other end. It's nothing like writing this blog -- sure, sometimes I have no clue what to write about, but I usually just sit in from of the keyboard for a couple of seconds and then barf out whatever comes to mind. That's how I've always done it and it keeps my blog as something that I enjoy doing. I think if I worried too much about being ultra professional or having a specific tone to my writing, that it would feel more like a chore or a real job. In this way, I feel like I'm keeping more of a short diary that I can look back on to remember what I was doing and wearing on that day and I hope that you guys enjoy it as well.
I always get a lot more motivation for this space once summer hits and I know the reason is that I really love summer clothes so much more. I love being outdoors and at the beach and not being covered in a million uncomfortable layers of clothes. I think most girls love autumn the best, but I'm definitely a warm weather gal. I also feel that sweaters and jeans just honestly don't look that great on me and I always dread looking over the photos afterwards because it makes me self-conscious. But summer clothes -- they're my jam. I love them and I think they love me too. That's why we get along so well!
