The weather is finally heating up in North America and summer has officially arrived. I feel like it was a bit of a late one this year but now that it's beach weather, I'm so excited to get home.
Ollie and I have booked our flights back to Victoria, Canada for about a month from now, with a week stop over in Hawaii that can't come soon enough. Sydney definitely feels like a second home to me now but I don't think I've ever had as bad of FOMO as I do from missing out on a West Coast summer. It really just seems crazy to be freezing our butts off over here so we've decided to go home about a month earlier than we had originally planned. I can't wait to go to our family's cabin and swim in the crisp freshwater lake. There's really nothing better.
Since the weather is finally hot, I thought I would post these shots that we took of the Ruko Romper while we were in Bali. This is the item that I wore pretty much every single day wile we were there. It's so easy to throw on and is the most fuss-free and comfortable piece I own. I have a feeling that it is going to get a TON of use in Hawaii and honestly might as well be the only thing I bring. I also love it so much as a festival item, worn with boots and a denim jacket. If I get the chance, I'll take some shots of it this way as well and post them on my Instagram because it's just too cute.
I think my favorite part of this romper is the print. When I spotted this fabric -- I knew I had so make something special out of it so I scooped it up right away. I had originally planned on making a Kimono, but it just wasn't quite right. In the end, I'm so happy we went with the romper. It gives the perfect amount of bohemian and carefree vibes to this piece -- exactly the way I wanted it.
These shots were easily my favorite from our KAYVALYA campaign and I'm so in love with the way they've turned out. I feel like they show the essence of this piece so perfectly and it makes me want to run back to Bali and live like a nomad for the rest of my life. I guess I'm not far off from that at the moment as it is!
