It's a hidden beach and cliff near the Chinese Cemetery in the Gonzales area and seems to only be on the radar of a few locals that like to walk their dogs there. For me, it couldn't be more perfect for taking my camera and tripod to practice my photography. Even if there are a few people hanging around, I can usually find a little hidden spot that I can use to duck away from curious eyes -- because trust me, I draw a lot of curious onlookers when they see me taking photos of myself and scrambling back and forth along the rocks. I totally realize that I look ridiculous so I don't blame them, but still -- I get pretty embarrassed when I have an audience. But even if I wasn't taking photos, this spot is still my new favorite simply for its beauty and serenity. Today, there wasn't a soul in sight until Ollie came past on his bike and we walked home together. I only shot a couple of photos this time and instead enjoyed the view for the rest of the time. It really was magical.
