Honeymoon Part 2 | The Havannah, Vanuatu

I really have no words to describe this place. It was exactly what I had hoped for our honeymoon and more. The room was beautiful, the view was stunning, the food was to die for, the staff were pure heroes and that water... Have you ever seen a more perfect color of turquoise? Me either.

We knew when we booked the 2 separate resorts that this was going to be the special one and we were so right. To be fair, it was about double the price of the last one, but I think it was definitely worth it. I had read nothing but rave reviews online and everyone was especially complimentary about the food. Luckily they were right because I think the nearest restaurant was like 30 minutes away, but I don't think we would have even gone anywhere else if it was right next door.

The resort is quite small -- I think they had 20 or so rooms in total -- so it felt very secluded and private. I don't think we ever had a single other person on the beach at the same time as us so it really felt like we had the place to ourselves. Sitting on that beach, with a cocktail under the cabana is pure honeymoon heaven, let me tell you.

We booked a waterfront room with a little plunge pool overlooking the ocean. We were able to walk down to the water straight from our room with our snorkel and flippers to have the most pristinely clear water for snorkeling. I still can't believe how clear that water was. It was like being in an aquarium with all the colorful fish and coral. You can tell that this area has barely seen any tourism because of how untouched it is.

This place would have been pretty awesome with the room and view alone, but the staff were so incredible, it gives me the warm and fuzzies just thinking about them. They knew our names from pretty much the second day and were so warm and welcoming, it felt like we were regulars that visit all the time. The thing that sets this place apart from any other I've ever visited is the service in the restaurant. On the first day, they found out that I was vegan and after a quick explanation of what that was, they were super accommodating. Then, the next morning, they had full vegan menus, just for me, for every single meal. And even more incredible is that they change the menu every day, for every meal -- giving 3 new options for entrees, and 3 option for mains every meal, every day. I can't even explain how much this blew me away -- especially since the food was sooooooo tasty too. I'm seriously salivating just thinking about it.

And so, we spent 5 luxuriously chill days relaxing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, eating, drinking, and more relaxing. It was pure heaven.
